Here are some of the horror movies to look forward to this August.

We're drawing closer to the middle of August but the month still has quite a few horror film offerings up its sleeves for horror enthusiasts. The movies that are showing now in Singaporean cinemas are made up of older titles like "Pee Nak 2" as well as newer releases like "Roh" and "The Clock: Spirits Awakening".

Without further ado, let's see what horror films are opening this weekend as well as throughout the rest of the month.

The Wretched

Being a rebellious teen, nobody believes Ben when he learns that his neighbours have been taken over by a malevolent spirit from the woods. The possessed neighbours are now preying on the children in the small town where Ben is spending the summer with his father, and he will have to find a way to stop the spirit.

Dreamkatcher

This is worth a watch since the godmother of horror, Lin Shaye ("Insidious", "The Grudge"), is part of the cast. The movie follows a boy who steals his neighbour's dreamcatcher in hopes of getting rid of his nightmares, but he ends up getting possessed by an evil entity instead.
