24 Sep – TV's "How I Met Your Mother" sitcom has become famous over the years for getting some big stars from Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Carrie Underwood, and now, produces of the show are getting Katie Holmes onboard as well, according to a report on Entertainment Weekly's website.
Katie Holmes who gained fame through the popular 90's TV series "Dawson's Creek" is coming on board to play a character by identified as the 'Slutty Pumpkin'.
Audiences first heard about this mysterious character back in season 1, where Josh Radnor's character, Ted, met a costumed woman at a Halloween party but later lost contact with.
As for why the show cast the wife of A-lister Tom Cruise in this part, executive producer Craig Thomas was quoted as jokingly saying:
"Katie is a lovely and talented actress, which is why we've saved for her perhaps the most classily named character in our show's history."
Is unknown if Holmes' character will only make a one episode appearance, or will have part in a major story arch in the series.
