Wonder Woman might make an appearance in "Batman vs. Superman".

26 Oct - As director Zack Snyder finished shooting the first few scenes of "Batman vs. Superman", rumours that Wonder Woman is set to make an appearance quickly surfaced.

"We have been doing a lot of thinking for years about how to best use all those characters and we love them," said Warner Bros.' president of creative development and worldwide production Greg Silverman. "Wonder Woman is an amazing character. I think it's a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero."

So when word came out that the filmmakers were apparently looking to cast a female lead as Bruce Wayne's love interest, little was thought of it. But as time passed, the casting call seeking out women who were both 'tall' and 'possessing physicality' got rumours spreading and it might just be true.

Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman and Ben Affleck was recently notoriously cast as the new Batman.

"We are taking it all very seriously and are trying to do a plan that's respectful to those characters and maximizes the stories as best they can," says Silverman. "Everything that has been speculated are things that we've thought about."

Silverman also addressed the controversial casting of Ben Affleck as Batman in the Man of Steel sequel. "We knew going in that we had more information than the general public had," he said. "We knew what the take of the movie was; we knew what the character was going to be. We don't take these decisions lightly. We thought about everybody.... brand new people, established people. Ben is the perfect guy to play this role."

He continued, "They both will be wearing suits, there are capes involved, there will be action, there will be excitement... They've crafted a great story."
