16 Jun – Oscar Isaac and Ben Stiller are teaming up for a big screen adaptation of Jo Nesbo's new short story.

Called "London", it is described as a high-concept thriller, though no details on the plot have been revealed for now.

Deadline reported that both Isaac and Stiller will be producing the movie, with the former also starring in it while the latter will be directing. Joining them is Academy Award-winning screenwriter Eric Roth, who will be penning the adaptation.

Isaac, who was seen last year in "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" and "Triple Frontier", will be seen next in "Dune", which was also from a screenplay by Roth. The 41-year-old actor is also expected to lend his voice again to animated lead Gomez Addams in the 2021 sequel to 2019's "The Addams Family".

As for Stiller, whose directing work for the Showtime series "Escape at Dannemora" won him an accolade from the Directors Guild of America Awards, last helmed a big screen title back in 2016. He both directed and starred in the action comedy "Zoolander 2".

The last movie Ben Stiller (seen here with Penelope Cruz) directed was "Zoolander 2", which he also starred in.

"London" will be the third work of Nesbo's to be adapted into a movie. The bestselling crime writer's 2008 book "The Headhunters" was adapted into the well-received 2011 Norwegian action thriller "Headhunters".

However, the 2017 crime drama "The Snowman", which varied vastly from its source material, Nesbo's 2007 novel of the same name, was panned by critics despite its star-studded cast that includes Michael Fassbender and Rebecca Ferguson.

The adaptation of "London" might be more faithful since Nesbo himself will be more involved in the production, serving as an executive producer.

Another one of his novels, the 2015 "Blood of Snow", was set to be Tobey Maguire's directorial debut but there's been no update on the project since it was announced back in 2017.
