Stray Dog

Young and inexperienced cop Murakami discovers his gun has been stolen while he is riding a crowded bus. Not wanting to lose face, he tries to look for the gun before he has to report it missing. After searching the streets alone, going deep into the poverty-stricken slums and criminal underworld of post-war Tokyo, he learns that his gun is implicated in a crime spree. As the lives of the cop and the criminal become more intertwined, a senior detective steps in and uses his expertise to help Murakami.
