In the 1930s, England is torn by civil war, which splits the rivaling houses of York and Lancaster. Due to a murderous lust for the British throne, Richard III falls into madness and aspires to become a fascist dictator, but must first remove the obstacles to his ascension which include his brother, his nephews and his brother`s wife. The movie is based on the classic Shakespearean play.
