The Perfect Wedding

Lok Yan (Miriam Yeung) was ditched by her fiance on their wedding day. During the next three years she gains fame as a wedding planner for many acclaimed celebrities. One night in a bar, she meets a young attorney, Fung (Raymond Lam) and they spend a passionate night together in a hotel - with no plans to ever meet again. Fate brings them back together at a wedding and their one night stand becomes a debt dispute since Fung`s boss owes Yan`s company fees for 30 weddings. When Fung`s boss runs away, Fung is left to clear the debt and so he starts working for Yan. While working together to organise successful weddings, they face and overcome many challenges and soon their relationship begins to blossom. But love is never simple - especially for Yan whose four close girlfriends do not approve of her relationship with Fung because they think he is young. Yan further complicates the situation by keeping Fung at a distance because of her painful memories of previous failed relationships.

Watch this if you liked: “The Wedding Planner”, “Love In A Puff”

What does it take to plan the perfect wedding? Love? Or money? "The Perfect Wedding" not only focuses on the relationship between Raymond Lam ("The Jade And The Pearl") and Miriam Yeung ("Love In A Puff"), but also the recent trend in wedding planning.

Yan (Miriam Yeung) is the best wedding planner in Hong Kong; with her ruthless, no-nonsense work ethics, she aims to create the most memorable wedding one can dream of! But Yan holds a secret past: she was jilted at the altar by her photographer fiance Kelvin (Eric Kot). After a one-night-stand with lawyer Fung (Raymond Lam), the two cross paths again when Fung's boss owes Yan's company 30 wedding's worth of company fees. As a scapegoat, Fung starts working with Yan to pay the fees back.

When you put two of Hong Kong's hottest stars Raymond Lam and Miriam Yeung in a movie, you're guaranteed of a plotline that focuses mainly on the stars alone. Everyone seems to turn either obsolete or redundant in that movie, save for a certain model named Chrissie Chau. The storyline also touches on relationships between an older woman and a younger man, which in this case becomes another hurdle for Yan to overcome, besides her painful past.

Raymond Lam and Miriam Yeung did a great playing two people with different perception on weddings and love. With no plans on meeting up again after their steamy one-night-stand, they try to avoid falling into love when Fung starts to work with Yan. Unfortunately as time passes by, Yan gets sucked into Fung's romantic ways. Eric Kot, Mak Ling Ling (the celebrity Feng Shui master!), Teresa Mo and an array of TVB stars such as Bernice Liu, Kate Tsui and Pierre Ngo was equally entertaining as well in the movie.

Give this a go if you're a fan of Miriam Yeung or Raymond Lam (which the reviewer is sure girls will be swooning over his romantic gestures), or you would love to see the 'assets' of Chrissie Chau, the hottest model in Hong Kong besides Angelababy!
