The Rebound

Sandy, upon discovering her husband`s infidelity while watching her son`s birthday video, leaves the suburbs and moves into the city. She gets an apartment that`s above a coffee house where she befriends one of the workers, Aram (Justin Bartha), a guy whose wife only married him so she could get a green card. Aram`s family thinks he`s wasting his life and education by working in the coffee house. Soon after moving into the apartment, Sandy hires Aram to be her nanny while she takes on work for the first time since her children were born. It isn`t long when Aram and Sandy find they get along wonderfully and start to date. But the question is: is their relationship real or is it, in fact, just a rebound for both of them?

"The Rebound" is a romantic comedy about a woman named Sandy (Catherine Zeta-Jones) who decides to uproot her family from the suburbs to the big city after stumbling upon a secret that broke her heart. Not very long after that, she ends up meeting a young boy whose fifteen years her junior named Aram Finklestein (Justin Bartha) who is working at a coffee shop just below her apartment who will later become her children's babysitter.

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Justin Bartha star as two different people of different age spectrums who meet and fall in love after the latter decides to babysit Sandy's children as she struggles to restart her working life as a single mother. Justin Bartha's portrayal of the quirky Aram and also the younger of the two are commendable with his ability to take his reserved, goofy but charming persona which he'd perfected after his successful supporting roles in "National Treasure" and "Failure To Launch".

"The Rebound" is an eccentric type of movie which captures the not-so-foreign older women with younger men relationship scenario in this world and makes it seem so naturally real. The writer feels that Sandy's children in the movie are quite amazing as the kids have a great chemistry with Aram. While Art Garfunkel who plays Aram's dad in this movie shines as a comical Jewish dad.

This movie will be a hit among romantic comedy lovers and in particular a relationship where the age gap between the partners is so significantly huge and challenging towards the relationship.
