Watch this if you liked: “Madagascar” and “Madgascar: Escape 2 Africa”

After the rousing responses from "Madagascar" and "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa", director Eric Darnell is now back with his bunch of animals to make you laugh your hearts out in his latest "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted".

As the sequel to two previous films, this adventure comedy continues the many misadventures of Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo and Melman the Giraffe; all of whom are once again determined to make their way back to New York, not forgetting King Julien, Maurice and the penguin trio. This time their adventure takes them across Europe under the guise of traveling with a circus troupe.

For those who have watched the first two "Madagascars", they would not want to miss this because it will still leave you in stitches and thoroughly entertained. The plot is more interesting this time around as shows Alex and his friends traveling good old Europe, in search of the penguins to ask for their help to get back to New York. However, when they reach Europe, they are hunted by the famous French animal trapper, Captain Chantel DuBois.

This sets the main premise for all the hilarity that pervades their escapades throughout their journey in Europe, which will definitely keep you in your seats after you have laughed your fill. One of the more notable scenes is when King Julien falls in love with a bear (cue the eyeroll).

There is not much that can be said about this film from an analytical standpoint, because most of the time the comedy has to be heard and seen to be enjoyed. What is certain is that watching this film would not be a waste of time.

So if you want to know whether Alex and his friends will finally make it back to New York, mark your calendars for 7 June to watch this animated adventure comedy together with friends and family at your nearest cinema.

"Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted" is also available in 2D and 3D in both Malaysia and Singapore cinemas.
