Monster Hunt

A long time ago, humans and demons coexist. But due to greed, humans want to monopolise the world, so they declare wars on the demons, driving them back to Da Jie mountain. One day, a boy named Tian Yin accidentally breeds an adorable demon lord named Hu Ba. To protect his "son", Tian Yin seeks the help of Heavenly teacher Xiao Lan to go against the demon world. Along the journey, the two and the little demon lord bonded and become closer.

• The animated monsters outshine their human co-stars in this live-action/CGI movie from Raman Hui, who's had previous experience co-directing Hollywood animation "Shrek".

• The movie has a simple but effective story arc, designed in a way that attracts both children and adults.

• The martial arts actions in the movie are well-crafted enough to keep the attention of adult viewers, while the baby demon Wuba charms young and old alike with his adorable babbles and tricks.
