The Good, the Bad and the Pooch's Purpose:

• The heart-warming movie truly captures the essence of a dog, its need for love and affection, and also its sixth sense.

• The film is cheesy at times, and the acting is nothing too noteworthy, but the film has good family humour, and a great story that any animal lover will enjoy.

• The film accurately captures the message and the spirit of the book it was based on, and it also help folks understand the responsibility they need to shoulder after getting a pet.

Trivia:

• Before the film was released in cinemas, controversy arose when behind the scenes footage surfaced and appeared to show a distressed dog being forcibly submerged into a turbulent pool water during filming. But it was soon found that the footage was fake.
