Xuan Zang

The real story behind the popular Chinese folk tale, "Journey to the West". During the Tang Dynasty, young Xuan Zang journeys outside of his country to India in pursuit for the knowledge in Buddhism. Along the way, he encounters many obstacles such as natural disasters, shortage of food, obstruction from enemies, and the betrayal of disciples, but he carries on with persistence, all in the quest for Buddha`s teachings at the Nalanda Temple.
