The Good, the Bad and the Unlikely Friendship:

• Though it is unsure how accurate the movie is, it is undoubtedly a family entertainer with a balanced comedy and drama, as well as interesting characters.

• One of the main highlights of the film is of course Judi Dench's magisterial performance as Her Majesty Queen Victoria, a befitting role for Dench as it is the same role that landed her her first Academy Award nomination in 1997 via "Mrs Brown".

• The 82-year-old actress has a great on-screen chemistry with co-star Ali Fazal as their scenes together are sweet, endearing and humorous.

• The film is a respectable tribute to a remarkable relationship between Queen Victoria and Abdul Karim, but the story is susceptible to misinterpretation, so viewers are advised to take everything with a grain of salt.

Trivia:

• Judi Dench also played Queen Victoria in "Mrs Brown".
