The Good, the Bad and the Man's Best Friend:

• Not exactly the Bruce Willis action flick we've all been hoping for, but at least the movie is fresh, humorous and engaging, and it's one of the rare movies where Bruce Willis plays quite a funny role.

• The movie has a colourful selection of characters made up of A-list cast like John Goodman, Jason Momoa, Famke Janssen, Adam Goldberg, and really a cute dog, a Jack Russell terrier.

• However, since there are quite a handful of characters in the movie, there's also not enough screen time for all of them which explains why there isn't a lot of depth to these characters.

• The movie has strong American action flavours, meaning lots of guns , chasing, action, fan service from the ladies - and Willis himself - gangsters, drugs, and of course, a lot of cursing.

• It is important to watch the movie without taking it too seriously as it is all about the random funny things that happen because of the actions of one man.

• Comedian Ralph Garman was originally in the movie, but he didn't make the final cut. This was due to Bruce Willis deeming the scenes featuring Garman unnecessary to include.
