The Orphanage

Set in Kabul in the late 1980s, where 15-year-old Qodrat, who loves Bollywood movies and often daydreams of being in his favourite ones, lives in the streets and makes money by selling cinema tickets illegally. When the police nab him for his ticket scam, he is sent to the Soviet orphanage along with several other boys. There, he soon learns the hierarchy of oppression. The bullies Ehsan and Asad often make everyone`s lives there miserable. As the political situation in Kabul changes, Qodrat and his friends rise to defend the orphanage, their home.
