A Tale Of Three Sisters

In a remote mountain village in Central Anatolia, sisters Reyhan, Nurhan and Havva live with their father Şevket. To give them better lives, they are sent to live as `besleme`, a foster child and maid, to three rich families in the city. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the sisters are sent back to their village. As Reyhan is pregnant, Şevket marries her off to Veysel, the poor village shepherd. Havva, meanwhile, has lost her foster-brother to terminal illness. When Nurhan is brought back to the village by her foster father Necati, Şevket tries to persuade him to take Havva as replacement and Veysel, who wants to leave the village, asks him for a job. As the sisters deal with their reunion and hope to return to the city, Şevket, Veysel and Necati gather to decide what happens next.
