Maud is a pious and reclusive young nurse whose is charged with the hospice care of Amanda, a retired dancer dying of cancer, Maud`s fervent faith quickly inspires an obsessive conviction that she must save Amanda`s soul from eternal damnation. But sinister forces, and her own sinful past, threaten to put an end to her holy calling. Maud is torn between what is reality and what is fictional in her psychologically troubled mind as it spirals her into a descent.
