Prediction: Who will die in "Avengers: Endgame"?

Will this be the end for these superheroes of the MCU?

This is it. The end is here not only for a cinematic saga that spans over 20 movies, but also for some of the characters that we have come to know and love over the course of 10 years. As all the forces of the Marvel Cinematic Universe come together to bring an end to the god-like titan Thanos, we have already been aware that not everyone will be coming home.

While some deaths appear more certain than others, but with the Russo Brother keeping a tight lid on leaks, spoilers and potential deaths, there is plenty of reasons to believe that we are in for some unexpected deaths too. So hold onto your popcorn, tissues and tin foil hats, here's our crazy predictions of who might not be breathing by the end of "Avengers: Endgame".

Iron Man / Tony Stark

Death Probability: 60%

The longest serving member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Tony Stark's death has been the topic of debate since the ending of his trilogy back in 2013, and even Robert Downey Jr.'s contract with Marvel has also been in much speculation. While Stark is geared to play a crucial role in "Endgame", he is unlikely to come out of it mentally or physically unscathed due to his ever increasing fear that there are beings out there that could kill him with a snap of a finger. Of all our predictions, we actually see a good chance that we would still be seeing Stark alive but leaving behind the suits as Iron Man. Hopefully by "Spider-Man: Far From Home", we would see Stark and Potts finally settle down like they talked about since "Iron Man 3".

The Hulk / Bruce Banner

Death Probability: 70%

The Avenger who only got one solo movie (that didn't star Mark Ruffalo) has only been a hulking presence in the Avenger movies until "Thor: Ragnarok". While we suspect that having Bruce Banner finding a way to becoming the Hulk again would take a good chunk of the plot in "Endgame", we just aren't sure where else is there to go for Banner and the Hulk, if not dying while defeating Thanos. On the other hand, Ruffalo is still expected to make one more movie appearance after "Endgame", if he has a similar contract to the rest of the original Avengers (except for RDJ), so any possibility of seeing the Hulk post-"Endgame" would most likely have to wait till the next Avenger sequel.

Black Widow

Death Probability: 80%

Although not the most powerful member of the Avengers by a long shot (sorry, Hawkeye), you would think that she poses little threat for the purple titan to kill her. Speculation of her death against Thanos comes not from the ending of her contract with the MCU, but her long awaited solo movie outing has been confirmed to be a prequel, set during the early days of Natasha Romanoff as a spy for the KGB before S.H.I.E.L.D. This could either mean that Marvel has no future plans yet for her or don't need one.

Thor

Death Probability: 90%

Thor has survived many trials and tribulations, whether it was taking in the full blast of a star or battling the Goddess of Death herself, but Thor's eventual demise might have been preordained a lot earlier than expected and hasn't reach any meaningful fruition. Thor is the most recent member of the Avengers to have completed his personal trilogy arc, and "Endgame" is reportedly the final appearance that Thor still owes to the MCU. Although Chris Hemsworth has talked about one more last solo hurrah, that could be more of his wishful thinking than Marvel having solid plans. It would be a fitting end for Thor to fall in the hands of Thanos, to bring a close for this Thunder God, and let someone more worthy to pick up Mjolnir.

Captain America / Steve Rogers

Death Probability: 100%

The most certain of them all is also the most painful death that we will feel when it comes. The unbreakable spirit of the oldest surviving member of the Avengers who could do this all day will finally be broken by Thanos, one way or another. This is confirmed by Chris Evans himself who tweeted his goodbye message to the uniform after ending his final contracted appearance as the super soldier. While this would be the end of Steve Rogers, comic fans will know that there's plenty of candidates (who already are in the MCU) who would take on the mantle and vibranium shield (if that doesn't get destroyed too) as the new cap.
