Characters you didn't realise were gay in these movies

Why is Josh Gad's LeFou as a gay character in the upcoming "Beauty and the Beast" such a big deal? Was it because director Bill Condon's well-meaning announcement of the live-action adaptation giving the character an "exclusively gay moment in a Disney movie" created an unnecessary backlash, which probably would have not happen did he not say anything and let audiences watch it for themselves? Like these films below that somehow made it to our screens with one or more (obvious or not) LGBTQ characters. Check them out below to see if you had even realised it!

"Finding Dory" (2016), the lesbian couple.
Even though Ellen DeGeneres who voices Dory the fish is openly gay in real life, Disney-Pixar chose to subtly insert a brief scene of a same-sex couple with a baby at a park.

"ParaNorman" (2012), Mitch.

Actor Casey Affleck voices one of the main characters, a jock named Mitch who finally reveals in the end that he has a boyfriend.

"How to Train Your Dragon 2" (2014), Gobber.

The revelation that Gobber was gay was revealed when Hiccup's father Stoick (Gerard Butler) has his quarrel with Hiccup's mother Valka (Cate Blanchett), Gobber mutters, "This is why I never married. This and one other reason," Gobber cheekily adds.
