Based on the 1973 tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs, "Battle of the Sexes" sees Emma Stone starring as the 29-year-old top-ranking female tennis player King, who played against the 55-year-old retired Riggs (Steve Carell). Igniting the conversation on gender equality and instigating the feminist movement, the match became one of the most watched televised sports events of all time. On court, King and Riggs are rivals but off it, both are fighting their own battles, with one struggling to accept her sexuality and the other dealing with his gambling addiction.
