This actress might be no stranger to most movie fans but for the uninitiated, the 41-year-old was born in Hawaii to an American father and a Vietnamese mother (who met when her father was stationed in Vietnam) and later moved to Hong Kong to pursue modelling and acting. Bearing the real name Margaret Denise Quigley, she started going by Maggie Q since Asian audience had trouble pronouncing her last name. She is a PETA spokesperson and was named Person of the Year in 2007 by PETA Asia-Pacific. She made her feature film debut in 1999's "The Legendary Tai Fei", in which she interestingly had to learn her lines phonetically as she did not speak Cantonese. Her first major Hollywood role was starring opposite Tom Cruise in "Mission: Impossible III", while her first series regular role was as the title lead in CW series "Nikita". Did you know that she's also lost her hearing in one ear after a stunt explosion blew out her eardrum? Here's another horror movie role of Maggie's, the 2017 American-British supernatural horror-thriller
"Slumber" sees her playing a sleep doctor named Alice.

She debuted as Tori Wu in 2014's "Divergent" and reprised the role in the sequels, 2015's
"The Divergent Series: Insurgent" and 2016's "The Divergent Series: Allegiant".
