Colin Farrell Breaks Foot Shooting "Alexander"

Irish actor Collin Farrell is recovering from a foot injury after he slipped and fell from the stairway of his Bangkok hotel.

Farrell is in Thailand shooting his new movie "Alexander". He was released from hospital after being fitted with a cast, said his publicist.

In "Alexander", Farrell plays Alexander the Great, who conquered 90% of the known world by the age of 25. The movie will focus on Alexander's eight-year conquest, as well as his relationship with his boyhood friend-cum-battle mate, Hephaestion.

Scheduled to open in cinemas nationwide November 11, "Alexander" also stars Jared Leto as Hephaestion, Val Kilmer as the King of Macedonia, Angelina Jolie as Alexander's mother, Olympia, and Sir Anthony Hopkins as Ptolemy, one of Alexander's top surviving generals who goes on to become the Pharaoh of Egypt.
