7 Dec – Rumours have been circulating online that plans for the fifth and sixth instalment of "Pirates Of The Caribbean" is in the works and will be shot back-to-back under the direction of Gore Verbinski.
HitFix went on to report that Disney has quietly informed the cast and crew of "Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" that they should schedule a big block of time in the near future to shoot two more adventures for Captain Jack Sparrow.
Disney shot the first two sequels "Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man''s Chest" (2006) and "Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End" (2007) simultaneously as well, after the success of the "Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl" in 2003.
According to Access Hollywood, it is unclear when the next Pirates adventure will set sail as Johnny Depp is already committed to shoot "The Lone Ranger" in 2011 and is also reported to star as Barnabas Collins in Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows" remake.
The upcoming fourth instalment, "Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" is slated to release in May 2011.
