2 Dec – It was the marriage the world has been waiting for and it is certainly an affair to remember. The wedding of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen were attended by hundreds of invited guests, most of them consisting of fans of the franchise that are eager to witness the couple walking down the aisle and exchanging vows live at Singapore's Shaw Theatres Lido on 22 November recently.

The special event was held in conjunction with the Gala Premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1" at Shaw Theatres Lido Cineplex, and it was designed with a couple dressed up as Bella Swan in a wedding dress and Edward Cullen in a tuxedo walking down the aisle. Although the whole scene was not able to be re-enacted, it was still a red carpet event and fans are equally enthusiastic to watch and greet the couple.

The couple first took photos with their wedding car, which was a Volvo S60, similar to the model that Edward Cullen drove in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1".

Following that, at 7pm, the couple got ready to walk down down the red carpet on stage to meet moviegoers and fans, as well as the Gala Premiere's guests of honour. A group photo was permitted to be taken by the fans with the model couple on stage before the screening began.

These events will not be the last coming from the franchise. Before the worldwide release of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1" on Thursday, potential photo leaks of Bella's wedding gown and the wedding were heavily guarded against, and after the release, there were certainly much demand by fans for a Twilight-inspired wedding.

From the trailer, the anticipated bed and waterfall sex scenes can be spotted, hence it should be noted that parents may want to check out this penultimate instalment of "The Twilight Saga" with their kids instead.

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1" is currently showing in cinemas in Singapore.
