21 Dec – Hollywood actor, Daniel Craig, who first made an appearance in the critically acclaimed reboot of the secret agent franchise, "Casino Royale", following which he appeared in Marc Foster's "Quantum of Solace", is now wanted by the Bond films' producer Michael G. Wilson, to star in five more 007 movies, according to People UK.

Daniel Craig first wowed fans and producers alike in his first James Bond movie, "Casino Royale".

The famed producer said, "Daniel's been a terrific Bond, a superb actor and a terrific man. The fans love him and I don't think there's a better actor to play the pat... It's certainly something we'll be discussing with him once we finish shooting."

He added, "A lot of people have said Daniel's been their favourite Bond since Sean Connery and I can't argue with them. He's doing a great job."

Currently, the record is held by Roger Moore, who starred in seven Bond movies over the span of eight years. If the reports are true, Craig will star in a total of eight Bond movies, one more than Moore.

43-year-old Craig is now filming for his third Bond movie, titled "Skyfall", which will see director Sam Mendes and Craig recreating the set with a 60's atmosphere. For Wilson, he thought that this is the direction that fans would want to see the Bond franchise taking.

"There's a magical "Goldfinger" feel surrounding it all. It's all very exciting," he said.

He further explained, "Filming has gone very well so far and I'd love Daniel to surpass Roger's record and do eight pictures. Daniel's been an absolute pleasure to be around because he takes the role so seriously. There's really no one more passionate about making these films work than him – he's a film maker's dream."

The offer does not look like one that the English-born actor would turn down, as he is reported to be receiving a $12 million paycheck for "Skyfall".

The movie also features Oscar-winner Javier Bardem and nominee Ralph Fiennes, and is expected to hit theatres next fall in the U.S.
