Transformers' Singapore Base

29 Oct – Universal Studios Singapore, a theme park development by Genting Highlands' Resorts World group will be rolling out the world's first Transformers theme park ride on Sentosa Island, 3 December this year.

'TRANSFORMERS The Ride' opens in Universal Studios Singapore on 3 December.

As one of the main attractions of the resort is the theme park, Resorts World Sentosa is going all out, promising that the ride would be a 'game changer' for theme park attractions across the world.

Transformers The Ride will feature 12 scenes, blending sets, 3D media and special together.

In addition, fans should be excited for the world premiere of Transformers The Ride, as the exclusive evening event will take place on 2 December with Michael Bay headlining the launch party.

The director of the hit franchise said, "I am very excited about the debut of this attraction at Universal Studios Singapore. Finally, Transformers fans will not only have the chance to watch the Autobots battle the Decepticons on screen; they'll actually be part of the action."

The ride's senarios envisions the guests as NEST recruits tasked to help the Autobots protect a remaining shard of the Allspark, a powerful energy cube that gives life to the Transformers.

Decepticons will storm the facility in a bid to obtain the shard, and guests then will be introduced to Evac, a new Autobot created exclusively for the ride.

In Malaysia, the hit franchise has managed to gross RM 16.2million for "Transformers", RM 24.2million for "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and RM 33.4million for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon".

In Singapore, the total gross numbers are SGD 3.7million, SGD 7.2million, and SGD 11.4million in the order of the movies released.
