24 May– Walt Disney Pictures' supernatural adventure "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" topped North American box office's high seas, while the female-driven Judd Apatow produced comedy, "Bridesmaids", retains its number two spot for the weekend just gone (19-22 May), according to online tracker Box Office Mojo. The fourth "Pirates" movie also made waves for the Malaysian box office taking the top spot, as local cinemas registered huge crowds and sold out halls for the movie over the weekend. Khabir Bhatia's "Nur Kasih The Movie" opened up fresh at number two, while Metrowealth's "Kongsi: Lu Langsi Lu Mati" succumbs to third place as it knocks "Fast And Furious 5's" momentum down from number two to four. No surprises in Singapore as well as "Pirates" dominates the box office edging "Fast and Furious 5" down to the number two spot, ending its two week streak at the top spot. As audiences begin to lose faith in "Priest", the weak vampire film settled for the third place instead of last week's second. Other new releases and sneak shows over the weekend in Malaysia include "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules", "Ven. Jian Zhen" and "Insidious". New releases and sneak shows in Singapore over the weekend include "Beck", "Jane Eyre" and "In a Better World".
