Gaga and Bieber in "MIB3"

Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber will be making a brief appearance in "Men In Black 3".

27 Apr – For those who are not convinced that Lady Gaga is a space alien are about to get some confirmation, for according to Toronto Sun, the "Born This Way" singer and Canadian pop star Justin Bieber will be appearing as cameos in the upcoming Barry Sonnenfeld sequel, "Men In Black 3".

It is not surprising to feature brief looks of the singers in "Men In Black 3", for the previous instalments also saw the same trend. Particularly noteworthy is the shots of Steven Spielberg, Danny DeVito, Sylvester Stallone and George Lucas on the alien surveillance board at Men in Black headquarters.

"I can't remember who we had in the second one, but in this one there are a few people that you'll see up on the surveillance board including Lady Gaga, Tim Burton, who probably knows more about aliens than I do, and let's see who else... Justin Bieber," Sonnenfeld said.

Apparently, not every celebrity can appear as extraterrestrials in Sonnenfeld's space comedy franchise.

"One of the joys is deciding who you would put up on the board, who you would tell the world is an alien," said Sonnenfeld.

He added, "And A) the challenge is you have to get permission from these celebrities and B) you don't want to go with people that are either a flash in the pan, or political, or people that then in 10 years no one will know who you're talking about."

Gaga and Bieber are not the only singers that are involved in the film. American rapper and pop singer Pitbull have been tapped to write and perform the film's theme song, which is titled "Back In Time".

"Men In Black 3" will see Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones reprising their lead roles as Agent J and Agent K, respectively. When veteran MIB field agent Agent J learns that his partner's life and the fate of Earth are at stake, he travels back in time to 1969 to stop an alien criminal named Boris from assassinating K and changing the course of history of the planet. There, he teams up with the younger version of Agent K (Josh Brolin), while facing a 24-hour time limit or he will be trapped in the past forever.

The long-delayed "Men in Black 3" will hit the big screens in Malaysia and Singapore on 24 May.
