2013 Moneymakers

"Iron Man 3" kicked everyone's butt this year.

25 Dec – It's almost the New Year which means it is time for us to reminisce about the past, and more importantly it is time to remember some of the top movie moneymaking machines of 2013.

While some of the movies in the list wouldn't surprise you, there are some that were a pleasant surprise! Animated film "The Croods" about the cavemen era took on the list at number 9 while Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity" came out of nowhere and took the 7th place.

The others listed are mostly long awaited sequels, remakes and continuations of other fine blockbusters, so if they didn't make it in the list it would have been pretty unexpected.

"Gravity" also made a few bucks.

At number 10, Brad Pitt's "World War Z" had also made a lot of 'moolah', after critics and a few fans were still wary of the movie adaptation of the book by Max Brooks.
