17 Jun – American film production company 1492 Pictures, who bought the rights to remake "Hello Ghost", has finally found its lead star in Adam Sandler, who will be working with Chris Columbus ("Harry Potter" films, "Rent"), who has signed on to direct the movie. Sandler will be playing a man whose attempt at suicide fails, which results in him being haunted by a family of ghosts.
The supernatural comedy will be produced by Sandler and his Happy Madison partner Jack Giarraputo. Executive producing is Miky Lee, who is the head of CJ E&M, South Korea's largest media conglomerate. Before "Hello Ghost", Sandler will reunite with his "50 First Dates" co-star, Drew Barrymore in "Blended", a romantic comedy by Warner Bros. The comedian will be reprising his role as Lenny in "Grown Ups 2" which will be released in Malaysia on 19 September and Singapore on 18 July. The remake of "Hello Ghost" will be expected to be released in 2014.
