Chris Pratt leads "Guardians"


Chris Pratt has been confirmed to be Star-Lord in "Guardians Of The Galaxy".

7 Feb – After rising to popularity on the small screen as the lovable but dim-witted Andy Dwyer on "Parks And Recreation", actor Chris Pratt is moving on to bigger and better roles in film.

Earlier, he had played notable role alongside Jessica Chastain and Mark Strong in the Kathryn Bigelow film "Zero Dark Thirty", will is also one of the running contenders for Best Picture at the Oscars this year. Since then, Pratt is on the list of actors to watch out for.

Now, he is confirmed to be attached for Marvel's upcoming "Guardians Of The Galaxy" film as the lead, Star-Lord.

Star-Lord's alter-ego is Peter Jason Quill, the son of a human mother and an alien father. In the Marvel comics, he becomes a NASA astronaut and gets special powers, like a suit that lets him fly in space and a ship he can communicate with telepathically, from an alien entity.

So far besides Pratt, no other actors have been confirmed to be attached to "Guardians Of The Galaxy" so far, but it will not be long before we find out as the film is aiming for release next year.
