16 Oct – According to Variety, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd are frontrunners for the role of Ant-Man in Edgar Wright's Marvel film "Ant-Man". However, at the promotional event for his directorial debut film "Don Jon" in France, Gordon-Levitt was quick to squash the reports as mere rumors. "There are always a lot of rumors around these projects and so far it is still only discussions. I am always very transparent when it comes to my role and my career. I'm usually the first to speak and communicate with my fans if something happens. If you hear nothing from me, they are just rumors."
"Ant-Man" is to be directed by Wright, who is known for his work on "The World's End", "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" and "Hot Fuzz" .The film tells the story about Dr Henry "Hank" Pym, who creates a size-altering formula and though his experiment goes awry, he develops a device that helps him communicate and control insects. Wright co-wrote the script with Joe Cornish, his collaborator on the screenplay for "The Adventures Of Tintin". Earlier, Wright released a photo from the set of the superhero movie on his Twitter, confirming that pre-production work has now begun. The film is set to hit the big screens in 2015.
