20 Mar – After losing the Best Actor Award to Christoph Waltz at this year's Academy Awards, "Les Misérables" star Hugh Jackman is moving on towards more big screen productions as now he is confirmed to join a new thriller "Six Years" by Paramount Pictures, according to Cinema Blend. "Six Years" is an adaptation of Harlan Coben's new novel with the same title. The story sees a man named Jake Fisher, who will be portrayed by Jackman; spend six long years mending his broken heart after watching his love Natalie marrying another man. Six years later, Natalie's husband is dead, and Jake finds out that the mourning widow is not Natalie when he attends the funeral, which leads him to search for the truth behind the lady that he missed. This is not the first time Coben's novels has been made into a movie. In 2006, the author's "Tell No One" was adapted by Guillaume Canet into an award-winning French thriller. Sources reported that "Argo" director Ben Affleck is planning to do an American remake of the film.
Meanwhile, Jackman will be returning to the screens this summer by reprising his famous role Wolverine in the highly-anticipated mutant superhero blockbuster "The Wolverine". The Aussie star is also currently shooting Denis Villeneuve's American crime movie "The Prisoners" with Jake Gyllenhaal, Terrence Howard, Paul Dano and Maria Bello. "The Wolverine" will be released in Malaysia and Singapore on 25 July 2013.
