"Angry Birds" full cast revealed

The movie version of the "Angry Birds" sporting limbs, unlike the game version.

2 Oct – After slinging one billion birds within the last 48 hours, fans of "Angry Birds" were delighted to discover a reveal within the easy-yet-highly-addictive game. The reveal is none other than the list of actors who will be voicing the game characters when they turn into movie characters in the upcoming animation film of the same name.

The film will be Rovio's first venture into the film industry, making this the first time the sling-shot birds appear in a feature film. However, fans have already had a glimpse of how these birds look like animated, and not just being thrown around in the air, as there is already a weekly animated series of them entitled "Angry Birds Toons".

Easily recognisable Red will be voiced by "Horrible Bosses" actor Jason Sudeikis, bulky Bomb is to be voiced by Danny McBride and speedy Chuck will be voiced by Josh Gad, who voiced Olaf in Disney's mega-hit "Frozen".

"Bridesmaids" actress Maya Rudolph will be the voice of Matilda while "Game of Thrones" actor Peter Dinklage will voice Mighty Eagle. Over on the green team, "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" actor Bill Hader will be voicing the near-invincible swine.

The supporting cast, made up of celebrities no less talented in the comic department, include Keegan-Michael Key, Kate McKinnon, Tony Hale, Ike Barinholtz, Hannibal Buress, Cristela Alonzo, Jillian Bell, Danielle Brooks, Romeo Santos and YouTube stars Smosh (Ian Andrew Hecox and Anthony Padilla).

Co-directed by Fergal Reilly and Clay Kaytis, "Angry Birds" is slotted for release on 1 July, 2016 in North America.
