"Ninja Turtles" are unbeatable!


This group of awesome turtles are unstoppable!
19 Aug – Looks like "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" has topped the box office charts once again as seen in last weekend's box office collections from 14 to 17 August 2014 in Malaysia, Singapore and U.S.

With its North America territory collection of USD 28.5 million, "Ninja Turtles" proudly stays in first place for the second week in a row while "Guardians of the Galaxy" still humbly remains in second place with its weekend box office collection of USD 25.1 million. In third place is the American comedy film "Let's Be Cops" starring Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr.

Over in Malaysia, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" took over the weekend box office for the second week as well. Meanwhile, the newly release ensemble action film, "The Expendables 3" claimed the second spot in the box office chart.

Tamil action film, "Anjaan" starring Surya which also made its debut, successfully claimed the third spot at the weekend box office chart of Malaysia

Same goes for Singapore, whose weekend box office was ruled by the "Turtles" with second and third place going to "The Expendables 3" and "Guardians of the Galaxy" respectively.


The "Expendables" team obviously gained the favour of Malaysian and Singaporean for getting second in these two countries despite being pirated weeks before its release.
Also opening in Malaysia last week are "Singham Returns", "Kawan Aku Mati Dalam Rumah Sewa", "Lady", "Break Up 100" and "Detective Conan: Dimensional Sniper".

Other new movies that opened in Singapore last week are "Anjaan", "Singham Returns", "The Possession of Michael King", "Boyhood", "A Most Wanted Man", "Soekarno", "Magic In The Moonlight" and "WER".
