13 Oct – "The Lego Movie" was no doubt a big hit when it opened in the cinemas earlier this year. Following its success, not only will there be an upcoming sequel to it, there will also be a spinoff – featuring one of its famous Lego-fied characters, Batman. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the sequel's 2017 release date might even be pushed back to make way for the spinoff to be released first. The Lego Batman movie is reportedly being directed by Chris McKay, who was the animation supervisor for 2014's "Lego". Author-screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith will be penning the script while Will Arnett will once again be voicing the self-absorbed, plastic version of Batman. There was no denying the character stole the show in the "Lego" movie and now fans will get to see more of him! Since the spin-off is presumably taking over the original date of the sequel's release, the sequel might only be released after 2017. Fans will just have to wait as there is no possibility of it being released in 2016 either seeing that "Ninjago" is the next Lego movie scheduled for release. "Ninjago" will be hitting the cinemas in North America on 23 September 2016. (Photo source: entornointeligente.com)
