"Sherlock Holmes 3" is happening


"Sherlock Holmes 3" is coming soon!

9 Oct – Although he is best known for his role as Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man, but Robert Downey Jr. is also known by many as the eccentric detective in Guy Ritchie's "Sherlock Holmes" franchise. Now, the latest news from Downey Jr. for the fate of the franchise is that the third film is currently in the works!

E! News has reported that Downey Jr. disclosed the exciting news to fans during a Reddit AMA event to promote his latest film, "The Judge", "Yes, we have a Sherlock 3 in development. We want it to be the best of the series, so that's a pretty tall order."

The first and second film of "Sherlock Holmes" was a worldwide box office success generating over USD523 million and USD543 million respectively. Both films were directed by Guy Ritchie and it is expected that he will return to direct the third film.

The previous two films starred Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes with Jude Law as Dr. John Watson.

In other news, Downey Jr. previously admitted on the confirmation of "Iron Man 4" at his recent visit to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," reported ComingSoon.


Sorry "Iron Man" fans, looks like for now the fourth film is not happening!

However, at "Late Show with David Letterman" he answered the complete opposite, "There's no plans for an Iron Man 4......There's no script for Iron Man 4, but they do have a plan and I think they're gonna announce it. You know, [Marvel's] very secretive about it."

But when the actor was asked once again by Letterman regarding "Iron Man 4", he answered, "Just between us, no. But I'm going to do other stuff with Marvel. I'm still going to be involved with Marvel and there's going to be plenty of fun stuff happening."
