18 Aug – The Primetime Emmy Awards plans to pay the dearly departed Robin Williams a meaningful tribute for all of his wonderful achievements and many contributions in showbiz for the upcoming 66th Emmy Awards ceremony. "Plans for the In Memoriam segment are in discussion," said the executive producer of the Emmys, Don Mischer to ABC News via a statement. "While we are all still coming to terms with this week's tragic news, we are working to give Robin Williams the proper and meaningful remembrance he so well deserves," he continued. After his death, 63 year-old Williams was revealed by his wife to be developing the early stages of Parkinson's disease. Williams had committed suicide and was found dead in his home in Northern California's Marin County on Monday due to depression and anxiety. He certainly was no stranger to the prestigious Emmy Awards ceremony having been nominated eight times and also receiving the Emmy Awards twice for his many comedic roles. Press association President Theo Kingma said, "Besides an incredible career as a comedian, as an actor, he did so much when it comes to charities, he certainly deserves the moment." The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on 25 August 2014 in North America, for which in Malaysia and Singapore will be Tuesday, 26 August 2014.
