27 Jan – The Harry Potter franchise actress, Emma Watson, 24, announced last Monday that she will be joining Disney's live-action version of "Beauty and the Beast" as the main female character, Belle. The news got Emma Watson excited that she even shared the news to her fans on her Facebook page. "I'm finally able to tell you... that I will be playing Belle in Disney's new live-action Beauty and the Beast! It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I'll get to dance to 'Be Our Guest' and sing 'Something There'. My six year old self is on the ceiling - heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can't wait for you to see it," Watson wrote. Bill Condon, the director of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" was announced in June 2014 that he will be directing this live version of "Beauty and the Beast," and will be produced by the Mandeville Films' David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman. Condon mentioned that the production will be set to begin in 2015 but has not announced the releasing date yet. The developments of live-action version of animated films are slowly coming into the theaters starting from the year 2010, "Alice in Wonderland," and "Cinderella" will also be on the big screen on March 13. Another live-action version of "Jungle Book" directed by Jon Favreau will be released in April 2016 as well.
