"Boyhood" is Critics' favourite


"Boyhood", a film that took 12 years to shoot.

17 Jan – "Boyhood" has recently been named Best Picture at the 20th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards. The film also nabbed a Best Director award for Richard Linklater, Best Supporting Actress for Patricia Arquette and Best Young Actor for Ellar Coltrane.

"Birdman" took home the most wins for the night as it secured seven accolades, with lead actor Michael Keaton winning not only the Best Actor award but also Best Actor In A Comedy.

At the ceremony which took place at the Hollywood Palladium and hosted by Michael Strachan, Kevin Costner received the Lifetime Achievement Award, Ron Howard the Louis XIII Genius Award and Jessica Chastain the BFCA's MVP Award for her four 2014 films.
