9 Jan – Golden Village has opened its latest outlet at Suntec City and the 11-screen cinema aims to be the entertainment and lifestyle hub for people living and working in the downtown area. The new cinema comes with several upgrades that would appeal to frequent moviegoers. Firstly, the cinema halls comes equipped with ProBax seats, which use ProBax® technology to reconfigure the foam structure within the seat base. This ensures the comfort of the seats' occupants as it will prevent them from slouching in their seats. Even the Gold Class seats have been adjusted for more comfort, to offer spacious seating space and is also equipped with silent electric motorised recliners. For moviegoers who love to munch on more than just popcorn, they will now be able to grab a bite at the Grab & Gold Café. Food purchased from the café may be brought into the cinema halls.
The café is a first for GV, and it serves a wide variety of both Western and Asian cuisines such as seafood marinara and beef bulgogi. There is also a special Gold Class menu, which includes specialty craft beers like Hofbräu Original and Crabbie's Original Ginger Beer. The cinema also utilises BeBrite™ 3D system, giving the audience clearer and brighter images provided by the signature 3D passive system from GV. Golden Village Multiplex Pte Ltd CEO Clara Cheo said, "We hope the introduction of the BeBrite™ 3D systems will give viewers a brighter, more immersive and most importantly, comfortable experience of watching 3D movies at GV Suntec City."
