No post-credits scene for "Avengers 2"

The upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron".

8 Apr – While it's now a norm for Marvel movie fans to sit through the rolling credits to catch the small sequence at the end that gives a glimpse into the future of the Marvel franchise, fans of "Avengers" will have no need for that during the screening of the upcoming sequel.

Writer-director Joss Whedon has confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that there will be no post-credits scene for "Avengers: Age of Ultron".

Whedon explained that the decision was made as he felt he could not top the "shawarma scene" at the end of 2012's "Avengers". So now he wants to give a heads-up to the fans, telling them not to expect anything as "There is nothing at the very end. And that's not a fake-out."

However, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige clarified that while there will be no post-credits scene, there will still be a tag – a short, epilogue-like scene that plays in the middle of the credits instead of at the end.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson, James Spader, Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. It is the sequel to "The Avengers", released on 27 April 2012, which made USD1.5 billion worldwide.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" assemble in cinemas on 23 April 2015.
