2 Dec – Hollywood actor, James Marsden is in Singapore on a press tour to promote the season finale of HBO's hit sci-fi series "Westworld". The actor who plays the role of Teddy Flood, an artificial host (A.I. robot) with a dark past, has said that he is excited as everyone else about the upcoming finale and is delighted to hear the reception for the show in Asia. He said, "I am really thrilled to hear that "Westworld" has been positively received by Asian audiences, and I am as excited as everyone else about its upcoming season finale." "While I'm here, I also look forward to seeing and learning more about this beautiful part of the world," added Marsden.
Inspired by the 1973 movie of the same name, "Westworld" tells the story of a technologically advanced, Western-themed amusement park populated completely by synthetic androids called 'hosts' and high- paying visitors called 'newcomers' who can do whatever they wish within the park, without fear of retaliation from the hosts. The series has since received positive reviews by critics, with particular praise for the visuals, story, and acting by Evan Rachel Wood, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Thandie Newton, Rodrigo Santoro, Ben Barnes and more.
