24 Mar – The original hero of the "Baywatch" series, David Hasselhoff or lovingly known as The Hoff, will be joining the cast of the upcoming 2017 dated movie of the same name.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who plays Mitch Buchannon – the character made famous by Hasselhoff during the long-running series – in the new movie, posted a photo of him with The Hoff wearing red swim trunks on his Instagram. Apparently, The Hoff and The Rock were spotted shooting a few scenes together on the set.
"In the 80's he drove the coolest car on the planet. In the 90's he dominated slo-mo running on the beach with the most successful TV show of all time. And today he's simply The f'n man," Johnson wrote on Instagram. "Phenomenal day on set with my brotha - the OG himself, David Hasselhoff - the man who started it all. Great dude with a great sense of humor. AND he trained his a** off for our movie."
For now, it is not known what role Hasselhoff will be playing in the movie since his original role has been taken over by Dwayne Johnson. The new "Baywatch" will also star Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach and Priyanka Chopra.
