Donnie Yen leaves handprints in Hollywood

Donnie Yen looks really pleased to leave his handprints in Hollywood.

2 Dec – Donnie Yen has recently become one of the few Chinese celebrities whose hand and footprints are immortalised outside the famed TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

As reported on CRI News, the 53-year-old actor, who became famous worldwide after starring in the "Ip Man" franchise, expressed his gratitude for the recognition bestowed on him when he attended the ceremony recently.

"I have done some hand and footprints, but of course not of this calibre. As an actor, it is a great thing to be acknowledged at this level. I am honoured to be able to represent Chinese actors. I can't ask for more," he said.

Aside from Donnie, another Chinese martial arts actor who left his mark was Jackie Chan, back in 1997 and 2013.

The "Ip Man" star has gained more fame in Hollywood recently and can be seen soon in two action blockbusters.

The first will be the upcoming "Star Wars" spinoff, "Rogue One", which is set to be released on 15 December 2016.

Next he will appear alongside the likes of Vin Diesel, Samuel L. Jackson and Tony Jaa in next January's "xXx: Return of Xander Cage".
