28 Dec – After recent news of actress Carrie Fisher suffering a heart attack while on a plane, it was reported that the "Star Wars" star has passed away in Los Angeles.
"It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning," Simon Halls, a spokesperson representing Fisher's daughter stated, according to NBC News.
Fisher was en route from London to Los Angeles via a United Airlines flight on Friday when she suffered the cardiac arrest and was later hospitalised in Los Angeles.
