21 Jul – Singapore Malay Film Society (SMFS) is bringing drama film "Redha" to cinemas this month through the Premiere Screening for "Redha" and Fund Raising Event. To be held at The Projector next week, a part of all the ticket sales proceeds from the charity screening will be channelled to Autism Association (Singapore). A sneak preview for the Malaysian movie will be held at 11am on Tuesday, 26 July. The sneak preview is by invitation only. However, it is also open for online purchase to media owners, bloggers, students, institutions, caregivers and parents of children with autism or special needs for SGD18 or SGD12 (with promo code "akuredha2016"). The Gala Premiere, which includes a Meet & Greet session with "Redha" director Tunku Mona Riza, producer Haris Sulong as well as cast members Harith Haziq and Izzy Reef, will also be held on the same day at the same venue from 7pm to 10pm.
Tickets for the Gala Premiere and Meet & Greet session are sold out. The limited 3-day public screening of "Redha" will start from Friday, 29 July until Sunday, 31 July. The seating will be available to customers on a first come first served basis. Tickets are priced at SGD20 each (subject to +SGD1.65 admin fee) at redhasg.eventbrite.com and SGD24 each at the door. "Redha" was first released back in April, in conjunction with the Autism Awareness Month. Though box office reception had been lukewarm, the movie received numerous positive feedbacks and praises for its eye-opening message on autism.
