Tom Holland to play Spider-Man in six movies

"Spider-Man" was first introduced in "Captain America: Civil War".

10 Nov – "Spider-Man" star Tom Holland will be acting in six upcoming Marvel productions which include appearances in three solo "Spider-Man" movies and in three other Marvel films.

Holland could not provide what are the specific titles he would be in, but it is believed to be starting from his first solo outing, "Spiderman: Homecoming" to the last edition of an untitled 'Avengers 4'.

It is no secret that Marvel is planning to eventually plot all their superheroes as the Avengers against supervillain Thanos in an ultimate fight for the Infinity Stones.

But before that, many back stories are needed to be set up and Spidey's solo films are looking to serve that purpose.

Nonetheless, in the next few years we will see a lot of Peter Parker and Spider-Man on the big screen.

First up, "Spiderman: Homecoming" will tell the story of how a young Peter Parker in his sophomore years copes with his superhero ability.

Directed by Jon Watts, the movie is also co-stars Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Michael Keaton as the main villain, The Vulture, among others.

"Spiderman: Homecoming" swings into cinemas on 6 July 2017.
