7 Nov – It seems that "It" fans and cast are not the only ones who are eager to see Jessica Chastain take on the role of the adult Beverly Marsh, as the two-time Oscar-nominated actress herself has just shown her interest in playing the character. In a recent interview with ScreenRant, Chastain stated how much she adores the Muschietti siblings – the director and producer behind this year's horror blockbuster "It" – and expressed her eagerness in joining the sequel. "Well, I love Andy and [producer] Barbara [Muschietti]. I worked with them on Andy's directorial debut, you know, his film, "Mama". His first film," the actress said.
Producer Barbara has also previously shared her thoughts on their resemblances to Deadline, saying, "We would love for Jess to play her. I think one of the first things that we noticed when we saw Sophia come into the room was, my gosh, you look like her. It's a strange kind of connection but we will see. We will see." Chastain will next be seen on the big screen playing the Olympic-class skier-turned-criminal Molly Bloom alongside Idris Elba in "Molly's Game". The highly-anticipated "It" sequel is slated for its North American release on 6 September 2019.
