20 Jun – Now that Xander Cage has returned, the "xXx" franchise isn't about to stop churning out sequels anytime soon. It has been confirmed by director D.J. Caruso, who helmed 2017's "xXx: Return of Xander Cage", that there is already a fourth movie in the making. Currently titled "xXx 4", stars from the third instalment including Vin Diesel, Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev and Deepika Padukone are set to return for the upcoming movie. While there was no mention of Donnie Yen, Caruso's reply to a fan's question on Twitter suggests that the action star will be back too.
The movie will be produced by The H Collective, a new U.S.-based financing, production and distribution company that aims to make four projects per year over the next four years, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Producers Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum will be producing the movie. Roth is no stranger to the "xXx" franchise as his Revolution Studios produced the original 2002 Vin Diesel-starrer. Another project the duo will be working on is Ruby Rose-starrer "Three Sisters", an action comedy to be directed by Timur Bekmambetov ("Ben-Hur", "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter"). Other projects by The H Collective include "A Children's Song", about two students who compete for a musical scholarship; horror-mystery "Raven Road", in which a group of teens try to solve their friend's death that happened on a mysterious road ; "White House Chef", where a Chinese chef has to save the First Family from a secret terrorist plot; and "The Parts You Lose", starring "Breaking Bad's" Aaron Paul as a wounded man who develops a dangerous friendship with a young deaf boy.
